DAILY NEWS ■ The Remote Operation Vehicle (ROV) from Jakarta was deployed by the National SAR Agency to help find the disappearance of the German-made submarine KRI Nanggala 402, in North Bali waters, on Friday (23/4).

Operations Director of Basarnas Rasman said that the ROV will operate at the point suspected to be the location of the disappearance of the KRI Nanggala 402 submarine.

"That's right (using ROV), we will push to the location to help with the search," Rasman said when confirmed by reporters, on Friday (23/4).

He added that Basarnas has deployed two ROVs from Jakarta to Banyuwangi and now they have arrived at the main post to search for KRI Nanggala 402.

"We deployed two units, at the Banyuwangi main post, which were built by the TNI. Later the ROV will operate using Basarnas ships," he said.

So far, the search team has had the opportunity to search for 4 x 24 hours. Given the oxygen stock in KRI Nanggala-402 is sufficient for 72 hours.

Thus, the joint team tasked with searching for KRI Nanggala-402 until Saturday (24/4) afternoon around 15.00 WIB.
